It's been some time and several revisions since last beta so here is a new one

. It mainly brings bug fixes and the serialization of game settings (players, teams, map, script, etc...) which are now saved and restored so you don't have to set AI levels each time you want to start a game it'll restore previous game settings.
As usual you can get it through FTP:
ftp://downloads.ta3d.org/binaries/windows/dev/0.6/

How about implementing Matman GUI in this one?

It's not in the package. It's up to Matman to decide when his GUI is ready for this.

I have almost finished.
I only have 3 more menu's to finish, then all those team buttons (all those small squares with shapes on) then need to perfect the loading bar (which I still need some guidance with, then comes the easy but not fun part of editing all the text files renaming everything to something like Matt_ rather than Mdrn_.

I couldn't resist the will to test it before taking the train for the week end

. That's really nice all put together

, nice work

.
I noticed a few bugs, at least one is an engine bug (disabled buttons are blended with a rectangle without taking button's alpha channel into account resulting in odd dark corners). There is another bug I've noticed : the mods and games window in NetServer screen have a white background, this might be an engine bug too.
In campaign briefing screen, the panning view is a bit bigger than the associated frame (could be a cache refresh problem ... I didn't take the time to clear it, I was too excited

)

The loading screen is not loaded ... at least by current revision because it should now be a PNG image instead of a Jpeg image (because of the black masking stuffs related to the progress bar). I think the white windows are due to the same problem : their background texture is not loaded/missing.
I've fixed the disabled buttons rendering, so we got rid of those dark corners effects

.

Here is the list of bugs I noticed:
- loading screen background should be a PNG file
- panning view in mission briefing screen is bigger than the frame
- some windows have an opaque white background (mods and games in NetServer screen, help window in game)

Thats odd, in mine, the places you say are white backgrounds have the mdrn background image displayed instead of my own.. Not sure about that one but i'll look into it.
The loading screen was jpeg before, how come it affects mine?
I see the missions spanning part, I forgot to check it in-game I shall fix this soon.

The white background bug may be platform related, maybe because windows is case insensitive and Linux is not.
The loading screen was a jpeg file a few betas ago but I changed that to PNG because of some rendering errors due to the use of a lossy format (jpeg) : the black mask for the progress bar wasn't perfectly black

I can tell you one thing though, the reason for some of the white backgrounds was due to me being lazy and using beta version 10 rather than updating through 11 and 12.

Just got 12, must say it's nicer gameplay. Only thing, it crashed on the excess II mod with fixed camera angle, crash was about as it was done loading a skirmish (was a white screen but when the music started playing it crashed). Basically I have to fixed 2 menu backgrounds (main because when you choose a mod it says the mod names in the bottom and campaign screen due to the panning bit not fitting) and I need to add more GUI files.

Also need to make the loading screen a png. Simple fixes, you shall be seeing all these fixes soon.

Done all, uploading soon but sorting files out. Oh and btw great improvement from beta 10

love the smooth scrolling around the map compared to 10. One thing that bugs me is strategic zoom is misty as if you're far away, and although that's a nice visual effect, it's no good for strategic zoom, you can't see unit icons nor the map properly. I'm not sure how you could fix this.

Replace files with this and it should all be fine. A note though, the loading menu is glitched in-game, nothing to do with me, it is an engine bug which bugs the hell outa me.
